Structure from Motion

Structure from Motion (SfM) has wide application across the fields of robotics, media, and geography. In this course, you will learn the principles of SfM using open-source (freely-available) software to create our own 3D models.

Structure from Motion (SfM) is a photogrammetric technique that reconstructs 3D models of a scene from a series of overlapping 2D images. SfM was developed in the 1990s, and has taken off in a big way as the cost of high-quality cameras has declined, computing power has increased, and image processing softwares become more automated and accurate.
